# Overview

## Gameplay

Legion is 1-vs-1 online game, played in a 2D top-down arena. You control several characters on the battlefield against the characters of the opponent. To win, kill all of your opponent's characters before they kill yours!

When it is one of your character's turns, they will be automatically selected. Once selected you can:

* Order them to move by clicking on one of the blue tiles displaying their movement range.
* Click on an enemy character to perform a melee attack. If they are on an adjacent cell, the attack will take place; if not, your character will move towards them.
* Cast a spell by clicking on its icon and then on a target.
* Use an item by clicking on its icon.

## A typical play session

A typical evening for a player can look like the following:

* Log in, notice you have some daily loot available
* Jump into a casual game to start the evening and unlock the key to the daily loot
* You play a fun short game against another opponent and you earn some gold, some potions and some experience for your characters; good news, one of your characters leveled-up and earned some Stat Points (SP)!
* You open your daily loot reward and get some new sword
* You head to the Team page to spend the SP your character to boost some of his stats. It's a Warrior, so you decide to boost HP and ATK.
* At the same time you equip on him the new sword you earned, and equip your potions across all your characters
* You head to the shop and spend some of your gold to buy a better staff for your mage, and you go equip it on him
* Now that your team is a bit stronger, time for a ranked game. You are on the Silver league and if you gain two more ranks, you might be promoted to the Gold league at the end of the week!
* The evening continues with several ranked games and making your team stronger with the rewards you earn
